Progress Worth Cheering For ✨

Today my heart is full.

Croix is making progress in ways that bring me so much joy, I could cry (and honestly, I did). In math, he’s beginning to add without counting on his fingers or using sticks. To hear him say with confidence, “3 plus 2 is 5, 2 plus 2 is 4, 5 plus 1 is 6”—that’s everything! He’s still working with the lower numbers, but the fact that he’s answering, writing, and getting it is nothing short of amazing.

Reading is coming along too. Without the pictures in the book to distract him, his three-letter word blending is getting stronger. Today, while we worked through one of his books, he surprised me…he read a couple of pages with no help at all. The sight words he’s been learning are clicking, and he’s even starting to read through the story a little faster. Watching him find his flow brought tears to my eyes.

This is what progress looks like. It’s steady. It’s beautiful. And it’s worth celebrating every single time.

Homeschooling isn’t easy. It takes patience, persistence, and a whole lot of love. But moments like these remind me why we stay in the game…because no one else will fight for him like we do. Me and his dad are committed to being right here, cheering him on, every step of the way.

Progress isn’t always loud, but today? I’m shouting it from the rooftops. My boy is learning, growing, and shining. And I’m beyond proud.
